Be a thriving & sustainable 1000 acre nature reserve focusing on developing an educational community

       Model sustainable & creative interaction between nature and people

  Promote personal growth and well-being of all who interact with Earthtouch

  Promote  sense of community that involves university students and faculty, community members, board members, and guests participating in sustaining operations

  Demonstrate respect for all components of the Ecosystem (community of plants, insects, rocks) in all of our actions

  Ensure economic sustainability to guarantee the Earthtouch legacy

 


Impact/Outcome

       Become a learning lab that models sustainable operations balancing interactions between people and nature to ensure long term health of both. 

  Support education about ecological consciousness and emerging models on sustainability and green energy

  Include as part of teaching model providing experiences that offer transparency to the processes associated with sustainable living where possible

  Provide a range of opportunities for people to experience nature

  Develop thriving and sustainable economic model

  Expand alliances with the community including colleges and like- minded organizations

  Expand board to include a balance of business people and environmental people

  Explore viability of developing new educational community center and ecotourism opportunities

  Purchase additional land with a target of 1000 acres
