area hosts a diverse population of grasses and flowering plants,
including switchgrass, milkweed, Indian grass, butterfly weed, and
more.
UNDERGROWTH $200/ACRE
This brush
area accommodates many species of small bushes, flowering plants,
and berries, including sumac, raspberries, blackberries, evergreens,
dogwood, redbud, sourwood, multiflora rose, grapevines, and more.

Along with
creeks and ponds, this area nourishes sycamores, birch, cattails,
dutchman’s britches, ginseng, and more.
IMMATURE FOREST $400/ACRE
Many types
of trees, native herbs, and brushy undergrowth flourish here,
including redbud, tulip poplar, pawpaw, sassafras, maples of all
kinds, black cherry, ginseng, goldenseal, multiflora rose, and more.

Land
filled with full-grown, mature hardwoods, an abundance of native and
medicinal herbs, and brushy undergrowth, including red and white
oak, maples of all kinds, ash, elm, shagbark and other hickories,
sycamore, beech, ginseng, goldenseal, blue cohosh, black cohosh,
ferns, and spicebush. The infamous Grandmother Tree is part of the
mature forest. It’s more than 300 years old and 6 feet in diameter.
