Earthtouch is located near the Vinton County town of McArthur, 15 miles from Old Man’s Cave, 20 miles from Zaleski State Forest and Lake Hope, and 30 miles from Athens (recently named one of “12 Great Places You’ve Never Heard Of” in the country by Mother Earth News).

Several state routes make the trip an easy one from Columbus, Dayton, Chillicothe, Cincinnati, Lancaster, Newark, Athens, Marietta, Parkersburg, and other nearby locations.

This rural area consists primarily of farmlands, extensive woodlands and one of Ohio’s first state parks, Lake Hope. The wooded hills and natural scenery make it one of the most attractive areas in the state. The area also includes beautiful lakes, caves, ravines, creeks, rolling hills and wildlife—especially deer and wild turkeys.

Southeastern Ohio is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and one of the most bio-diverse regions on earth outside the tropical rainforest. The land supports a variety of ecosystems and offers guests open meadows, deep woods, moist hollows, rock ledges and ridges. Meandering walking trails allow easy access to all of these natural areas
