To promote healthy interactions between people and the natural world is what our programs are all about. We take great care in designing activities that engage humans with nature in an authentic and pleasurable way. We teach skills that allow for a dialog with the natural world, as we do not speak the same language these days. Though we know it on a deeper level, it sometimes just requires us to adjust the way we see or the way we move…. And suddenly we are reconnected to nature in a real and meaningful way.

We also maintain one rustic cabin that is available for personal retreat at earthtouch north. There is no plumbing or electricity, with water for dishes etc available from a rain barrel. It has chairs, oil lamps, a bed, a deck with chairs, a campfire pit, and a direct compost toilet located in a separate outbuilding. For more information contact us at: info@earthtouch.org
earthtouch asssits in operating the Giving Garden at Cafe Bella and other satellite locations including WCBE. The objective of the Giving Garden is to help build urban gardening skills to provide people living within cities with better nutrition and a connection to the earth. Additionally, we intend to change culture by promoting skills that will enable people to grow their own food in the future.
Plants are started as seeds, grown and planted in containers that are distributed through the food pantry system. The primary pantry at this time is located at 18th and Oak St, Columbus, Oh. Over 1000 pounds of food were distributed to date in 2009, our first year. We expect to significantly increase our impact by expanding locations and volunteers next year and beyond.
There is an art and a science to earth based primitive living skills that connects us directly to the natural world, and connects us indirectly to our ancient ancestors for whom these skills were second nature. As modern humans we have lost touch with our innate ability to move in harmony with nature and allow her to teach us her many valuable lessons. These arts may have been forgotten, but they are not lost! Here at earthtouch, we provide opportunities to reconnect to them. Below is just a partial list of some the things we do:
